Bewitched 2005

Bewitched 2005
Nicole Kidman
Will Ferrell
**1/2 of five from an unfamiliar viewer

I never watched the TV show and I have to say
when I do watch 60's shows, I have a hard time.
I don't find them that funny or cute or anything.
Just really cheesy. But that is just me. I like both

of the main actors though, and I was pleasantly
entertained by both of them here. Sometimes it
is a good thing I watch a lot of Nicole Kidman's
movies so that I can see how she can actually act
well, such as Birthaday Girl or The Hours. I am
sure that there are people who only see her in
movies like this and Stepford Wives and think,
"Boy, she must really be a dumb blonde." But
boy are they wrong. I think that her actions (by
taking roles like these) prove that she has a very
wide acting range. And I like her. Especially better
than Tom Cruise. I bet she's glad she kept her
last name. And Will Ferrell. It must have been
fun to act like EVERYTHING is about you. But
still, it was pretty average. I didn't get any 'tingly'
feeling at the end when everything works out
just hunky-dory. And also, I really like watching
Michael Caine sometimes. Sometimes. Other times
he is just annoying, but when he is charming or
funny(Austin Powers) then I really do like him.
And Hey! Another Shirley MacLaine movie,

whaddayaknow? I liked her better in Rumor Has It.

I don't think I should try and recommend this to
people who have or haven't watched the show. But
if you haven't and like W.F. and romantic comedies,
then go ahead, rent it. I bet you'll at least like it, at
worst think it quite average.
