**** of 5 from my sarcastic view
Oh maaaan! I have previously seen this
movie, but it just makes me laugh! But,
I did not realize Lorne Michaels produced
it. Good for him. Sometimes while I was
watching it, I thought it had gone too far,
but then I remembered it's not meant for
kids, it's meant for the older teen audience.
So that was a little better. It was also
nice to watch a movie when I still liked
Lindsay Lohan... sigh. She(was)pretty good.
The one thing I had to keep reminding myself
of was that it isn't actually that bad in high
school. I mean, maybe I am just speaking
from my own little world, but I didn't know
any scandals like that in my 3 years. And I
am sure we had a 'queen bee' but she wasn't
like this huge slut/supermodel. Well, perhaps
in american schools that is closer to the truth.
But really, this is my kinda movie, making
fun of stupid, self obsessed girls, being
totally sarcastic and then making small, quick
little jokes that most of the audience doesn't
really catch. Good stuff, Tina Fey.
Some funny extra stuff:
-Producer Tina Fey confessed that, when casting
the film, she liked Jonathon Bennett (Aaron
Samuels) because "he looked like Jimmy Fallon".
-Rachel McAdams who played regina, is only
actually 5 years younger than Amy Poehler, the
woman who played her mom. She was 28 when
they filmed this movie and I am so impressed
at how well she can pull off being 17. Well done!
-One of the non-released teasers can be seen
on the DVD where "the plastics" are doing a
PSA and it gives quite a good chuckle.
-Lindsay Lohan was originally supposed to
be Regina(queen bee) but then they realized she
would be much better as Cady.
So who do I think should watch this? Well,
you should definately:
- be over 15 at the very least.
-be able to handle some vulgarity and stupid jokes
-like the cast of SNL(Saturday Night Live)
cause you'll be seeing a lot of them!
