Matchstick Men 2003

Matchstick Men
2003
Nicolas Cage
Sam Rockwell
Alison Lohan
**** of 5 and i'm still smiling...

Sometimes people, Nicolas Cage is
okay, sometimes...and then especially
when playing a nervous,paranoid with
OCD backed up by Sam Rockwell.Actually
this is probably Nic Cage at his best.
Fine, I'll stop being mean. But really
if you love him so much, tell me why?
I was probably biased before seeing
this movie, cause I love con movies,
and Sam Rockwell. Combine that with a
intriguing preview and yeah, I'll
definately buy it at safeway two years
later for three dollars. No really,
I thouroughly enjoyed this movie.I did
see it when it came out in 2003 and I
am sure that I'll be willing and now
able to watch a few times over the
coming years. Although one downside
I've noticed is that for the couple
of days after I watch it, I find myself
making fun of N.C.'s character and going
ahhhhhhh. ahhhhhhhh. ahhhhhh. And then
i see my friends and familyy looking
at me like maybe they should have
checked me into that "home" when they
had the chance. But I was quite impressed.
How does one make themselves tick and
twitch like that? Fascinating. And as
I have mentioned previously in other
postings(well really just mean girls),
I also find it really captivating to see
a mid twenty-something play a teenager
and here she's so young. Alison Lohan
is 26, which makes her about 24 when
she filmed this and she very, very
convincingly acts like a fourteen year
old.Great job. And don't get me started
(don't even get me started..)on the
magnificant talents of Mr.Sam Rockwell.
Is there anything he can't pull off?
I will believe that when I see it.

The recommendations would be endless with
this movie, so just go rent it when you
are in a laughy mood.Okay? Okay.
